Raising Godly families through teachings, mentoring and fellowship while providing opportunities for every member to identify his God-given gifts to serve in the body of Christ and fulfil his purpose in life.
Our History
The Upper Room Church was founded by 17 families and Started her first church service on October 15, 1987.
On December 1989, The Church moved from its temporary site to her permanent location at 2A Davies Street, Ketu. And started her first service on February 21, 1990.

In January 1991. The church auditorium at the permanent location was completed and officially dedicated.

The first parish after the headquarters church started device on March 26, 1994 at Arowojobe Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos after a 3 day crusade programme.

On July 8, 1995, The first General Overseer of the Upper Room Baptist church, Pastor Biodun Longe, was ordained by Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye
The Upper Room Bible College was established on September 19, 1996 to enhance the fulfillment of the great commission by helping believers to grow in the knowledge of GOD, development of Christian character and leadership traits

The church established and started her primary school ' Upper Room Nursery & Primary School. It was opened for admission on the 3rd of March 2003 with Mrs Funmi Otegbeye as the pioneer headmistress.

On December 31st 2003, Pastor Oluleke Akinola was appointed and ordained by Pastor Biodun Longe as the new General Overseer of Upper Room Baptist Church.
In 2014, the Upper Room Bible College became affiliated with the West African Theological Seminary ( WATS), which in itself is an affiliate of University of Nigeria, Nsukka, as a degree awarding institution
