John 6: 4-14

Memory Verse:
“And Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed it to the disciples and the disciples to those sitting down” (John 6:11).

Have you ever wondered why Jesus was always getting results and Hwhy He was never stranded during His early ministry? It is because He was consistent with thanksgiving. They told Him that five thousand people were there, and they only had five loaves and two fish. He prayed to the Father by offering thanks to Him for the five loaves and two fish. And when He gave thanks, the bread and fish multiplied. Jesus gave thanks, even in the midst of the gross inadequacy of the available bread and fish. Before then, He had made them sit down in readiness for the meal. After giving thanks, He gave his disciples to distribute to them and the miracle happened in the process of the distribution.
Jesus came to the tomb of Lazarus and He said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me” (John 11:41b-42a). In essence, He meant that there was no time He prayed that the Father did not hear Him and Lazarus’ case would not be an exception. As a result, He called Lazarus to come forth and the miracle took place. That was the secret of Jesus
while on earth. No wonder He was never stranded.
Jesus is teaching us that we must learn to appreciate God always. Wake up in the morning and appreciate what grace has made available to you, rise and say, “Thank You Lord, You are good to me. I am not hospitalised, it is Your doing.” Learn to appreciate God always.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, I thank You for sustaining my life and my family every day.
2. Lord, help me to focus on You and appreciate You always
