Proverbs 29:18; Habakkuk. 2:2&3
Memory Verse:
“Where there is no vision, the people perish, but he that keepeth the law, happy is he” (Proverbs 29:18 KJV).
If you must succeed in life, you must be a person of vision. There must be a goal that you are aiming at. Always stay focused on your vision without wavering. For instance, where do you want your business or career to get to this year? Vision will sustain you when the storm comes. Joseph was sustained in a foreign land by the dreams he had. A person of vision is a person of purpose and is
unstoppable. If you don’t have a clear vision of where you are going, you are bound to fail. Another nugget for success is thinking big. You are only as big as your thoughts (Proverbs 23:7). The Bible talks about ordinary people whose feats made them extraordinary. People like David, Daniel, Paul and so many others. They dared to do the impossible and the Lord of possibilities made it possible for them.
Challenges do not mean that you have reached the end of the road. What you call a mountain today can be a stepping stone to greater heights. Challenges are part of life. So when they come, do not be discouraged. Proverbs 24:16 says, “For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again.” Falling is expected as we journey through life. If you don’t attempt anything, you will get nothing.
Do not let the fear of failure keep you in bondage. The Lord will give you visions and enable you to focus on them, if you maintain a teachable attitude.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, help me to focus on my vision this year.
2. Lord, as I am called for a purpose, give me the grace to fulfil it.
