Text:
Luke 14:15-23
Memory Verse:
“Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled” (Luke 14:23).
God, in His infinite mercy, is deeply passionate about saving souls. The Gentire Bible is written by the inspiration of God for the salvation of mankind. He is actively involved in the business of calling all sinners to come to repentance. Today’s parable on repentance by Jesus Christ reveals the fact that God, our creator and the great planner, has plans for every one of us. Jesus told a parable
about a king who invited people for dinner. But, unfortunately, they all began to give flimsy excuses, thus, denying themselves of life-changing opportunities because of misplaced priorities.
Though the king was angry, he thought of other options. He ordered his servants to go to the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame, and bring them in. These are the classes of people Paul, the apostle, referred to as strangers from the covenant of promise, having no hope and without God
(Ephesians 2:12). These people, through the blood of Jesus, have been adopted and have become God’s children.
Jesus is calling on you to be actively engaged in bringing sinners into God’s kingdom. You should be as persuasive as you can in inviting people to embrace Christ. Are you making excuses to avoid responding to God’s call of winning souls? Do not delay in bringing in souls to God’s kingdom. Repent now and be obedient to His call. Jesus is calling you to join Him in the harvesting of lost
souls.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, make me an instrument for bringing people into Your Kingdom.
2. I reject every excuse that will hinder me from making use of life-changing opportunities.
