Text:
Colossians 1:9-14

Memory Verse:
“He hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath
translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son” (Colossians 1:13 KJV).

As a young boy from a remote village in Ekiti State, it was always fun, A joy and excitement when it was time for the annual celebration of Ogun Festival. The whole village usually would be agog throughoutthis period. Everyone derived joy in celebrating it. Glory be to God who has delivered me from the power of darkness, and translated me into the kingdom of His dear Son. Is there any way you are involved in things that are not pleasing to God, like I was in time past? He is
ready to deliver you from every activity of the kingdom of darkness that you might be involved in. He will set you free. Saul of Tarsus was once a representative of the kingdom of darkness; he threatened and slaughtered the elect of God (Acts9:1). He had a terrible past, but at God’s appointed time he heard the voice of the Lord and was delivered.
Today, if you will hear God’s voice, it will bring about a change for good in your life. God will restore you from your past that seems shameful; He will translate you to the kingdom of His marvellous Son. There are steps you must take to be delivered and translated from darkness
into God’s marvellous light. These include:
1. Accept His only begotten Son as your Lord and Saviour.
2. Continually walk and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
3. Be obedient to the Holy Spirit.
4. Please God by living in Faith.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, deliver me from my horrible past and translate me into Your marvellous light.
2. Father, grant me the grace to yield myself completely to You.
