Ezekiel 37:1-3

Memory Verse:
“He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry” (Ezekiel 37:2).

Bones are the very important calcified connective tissues that form the Bskeleton of most vertebrates. They grow from the time a foetus isconceived till death. They are living and provide the needed structure and frame for the body. Today’s dry bones once belonged to living bodies, but
they were at this point dead, dry and lifeless. They had actually broken apart and no longer provided the structure they once gave to the body. How did these bones get to this dry state? Faulty foundations and lack of a genuine salvation encounter with Christ can and will eventually cause dryness (John 3:3-5). Are you truly born again? Did you have a life changing encounter
with Christ? Such an encounter cannot be mistaken by you or those around you, so examine your heart. Is it possible for a Christian to become dry and lifeless? Yes it is. The absence of
Christ results in dryness and when men stop growing spiritually or backslide, they become dry. Matthew 5:13-16 explains that when men lose their saltiness, light and relevance, they become dry and useless. Are you sleeping in the spirit and allowing enemies to sow tares into your life through evil teachings (Ephesians 5:6)? This will result in dryness. Stagnancy or lack of spiritual
growth will also lead to dryness.
Your spiritual outflow must not outweigh your inflow. You cannot withdraw more than you have in the bank. So, examine yourself critically so you do not become irrelevant and end up in the valley of dry bones.

Prayer Points:
1. Search me, O Lord and help me to understand my true standing with You.
2. I will not be careless spiritually.
