Text:
Ezekiel 37:4-10
Memory Verse:
“Thus says the Lord God to these bones: ‘Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord’” (Ezekiel 37:5&6).
Bones are very important for the stability of the body as we have seen. BThey form the structure that holds the body together and up. Dry bones are no use to the individual, community or church. They are not useful to God, either. His goal would always be to restore, revive or resuscitate them, so they can be useful. This process of restoration requires the full cooperation of the individual. As
effort is made to reveal the source of the damage, you must take steps to receive the help being offered realising that you cannot do much alone. The turn around is only possible by the Spirit of God. Your broken pieces must be brought back together and God’s breath of life must come into them. It is only then that restoration can come. Sanctification keeps you on point, and being continually in touch with God keeps you on fire for Him. It stirs you up in the spirit and enables you to receive miracles from Him. You must sow ahead of a harvest (Psalm 92:12-14). An easy life does not help in the day of adversity. Are you disobedient to God’s laws? Do you question God’s guidance or instructions? The cares of the world choke the word of God and, so, you must not get entangled with them (Matthew 13:22).
Paul complained in 2 Timothy 4:10 that Demas had forsaken him because of his love for the world.Remember that heaven exists and you will spend only a limited time here. Be conscious of life and death. Be energised by God continuously.
Prayer Points:
1. Keep me alive and burning for You, Lord.
2. Keep my eyes from worthless things, O Lord.
