Text:
Psalm 121:1-8
Memory Verse:
“My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth”(Psalm 121:2).
The need for help is inevitable in everyone’s life. One needs help from Ttime to time. The areas of our need are varied; they may be physical, spiritual, emotional, health or financial. It is common for one to seek help from friends, family members, associates and even the Church.
Disappointment is also inevitable when we look for help from these sources because man is limited in his ways and resources, but such disappointment can be completely eliminated, if you focus on God rather than man. The Psalmist says “I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my
help. He recognises that his help will only come from the Lord who made heaven and earth. Daniel also trusted in God when he was thrown into the lions’ den and he was not put to shame (Daniel 6:20-24). God helped him, delivered him, and the trial worked in his favour.
The two blind men, as recorded in Matthew 20:29-34, cried to Jesus for mercy and help, even when people tried to stop them from crying for help, they cried the more and got the help and mercy they wanted.Look up to the Lord for help, He will strengthen and keep you, He will not allow your foot to be moved, as He watches over you. The Lord does not sleep or slumber. Put your trust in Him. As you step out today, the Lord will send you help. So, trust Him for guidance, safety, favour, goodness, kindness, joy, peace and success. You shall return home rejoicing.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, grant me the grace to always look unto You for help.
