Text:
Exodus 14:19-29
Memory Verse:
“And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and waters were divided” (Exodus 14:21).
God is awesome and He is God over all things, living and non-living. He can achieve His goals with seemingly impossible things, situations, and in His own way. The angel led the Israelites and the pillar of cloud moved behind them separating them from the Egyptians. The pillar of cloud created darkness for the Egyptians, but was light to the Israelites. This was awesome. Moses then stretched his hand over the sea, according to God’s instruction, and, supernaturally, the sea went back all night by a strong east wind.
The water gathered up like a wall on either side with dry land in-between for the Israelites to walk on. The Egyptians pursued them into the sea, but God again troubled the Egyptians by removing the wheels of their chariots making it very impossible for them to pursue the Israelites. As soon as the last Israelite stepped out of the sea bed, Moses stretched out his hand over the sea and the
water wall collapsed and drowned the Egyptians.
God can do all things with anything. Have absolute faith in Him. With Him there is no loss of hope. No matter how bad your situation may be, God will come through for you, if you obediently hold on to Him. You must learn to always trust Him in all things. He knows the end of a matter from the
beginning. He knows how every knot in our lives was made and can untie it easily. We are always better off relying on Him.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, teach me to have absolute faith in You.
2. Father, please help me to live in obedience to You.
