Text:
Ephesians 6:1-4
Memory Verse:
“And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).
Today, things are happening so fast, and culture is changing so rapidly Tthat it is difficult for most parents to grapple with the change. The media has become a tool the enemy is using to confuse the minds of children. It is so easy to get exasperated, but fathers are being challenged right
now to take time to understand their children. Fathers owe God a duty to win their children for Him. This is one of their primary responsibilities. They must find time to play with them, know them, pray with them, know who their friends are, and let them clearly understand the reason for the demands being placed on them. They are not too young to understand.
Your children need you more than they admit. Do not always wait for them to come to you. Call them up, ask questions, be understanding and be their guide and coach, and see them turn out to be the children you will be very proud of. Doubtlessly, you shoulder many responsibilities as a father, but this special day is dedicated to you. Connect with your children and be a guide to them. The best place to make a social change is in the home. When the home is right, the
nation will be right.
To every family, today, please celebrate the fathers in your life. Thank God specially for them, show them love because they deserve it. Once again, Happy fathers’ day to all the men, God bless you.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, let all fathers become great and worthy of respect this year.
2. Lord, no father will destroy the name of his family or bring shame to them.
