Text: Jude 1:20-23; Ephesians 2:10
Memory Verse: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
The term “fireman” refers to someone employed to extinguish fires and save people from destruction. It is a self-sacrificing, challenging job, which many may find unappealing. This explains why, in certain parts of the world, unemployment is the primary reason some take it on. It is,
however, a very important job as it saves lives and properties. So, I urge you, put on your spiritual firefighting gear today. Rise up and take
action to save those who are headed for destruction. Whether it is through evangelism, prayer, or simply sharing the love of Christ with someone in need, you can play a part in rescuing souls. Jude 22-23 says, “And on some, have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.”
Remember, that the heartbeat of God is that no one should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). As a believer, you have been given this task of being God’s hands and feet in the world. You are Heaven’s fireman, called to step into the darkness and bring people into the light of His love.
The world is full of people trapped in the flames of sin, in need of rescuers. Respond to the call with urgency, knowing that you have the greatest Employer keeping track of your efforts, and the greatest reward is waiting for you in eternity. Save some souls today.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, give me the grace and will to obey You today.
2. Lord, grant me utterance for each soul I come across every day.
