He’s Got The Whole World

Job 12:7-12
Memory Verse:
“Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?” (Job 12:9&10).

The song, “He’s got the whole world in his hands,” was popular for me growing up. We would sing at the top of our voices, demonstrate the enormous size of the world with our hands, and show how God holds it in His hands. Now, as an adult, I look back and wonder, did we really
understand the meaning of the song? It is said that the earth has an estimated diameter of 12,742 kilometres, which  makes it the 5 th largest planet. God knows everything and is in charge of
everything that happens on earth. Sometimes, it does not feel like it because we cannot comprehend how or why some terrible things happen to us and around us. So, we ask questions like, “if God is in control, why did this happen?”
God is aware of our struggles, and He understands them more than we do (Hebrews 4:15). However, He promises to be with us in the midst of it all. We are also encouraged that everything that happens to us works for our good. God still orchestrates all to work in favour of His children. All we need to do is rest in His word and remain confident in His ability to turn things around for
our good.
We must build trust by reading the word of God and constantly praying to Him. Also, we must take courage from the lives of others who have walked this path before and seen God change things for them. God is still in charge.

Prayer Points:
1. I put my trust in You, O Lord.
2. Lord, help me to always remember that You are in charge.
