Text:
Proverbs 3:5-8
Memory Verse:
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;” (Proverbs 3:5).
The brain is the seat of knowledge, creativity and imagination. The brain is the memory bank of man and a lot of resources available to draw from and use to reason things out are embedded in it (Job 9:14). The brain was given to us by God to think, meditate, analyse and reason things out. It was given to us to proffer solutions to the problems of life. The brain was given to us to help us partner with God in living a satisfying and fulfilling life
here on earth (Job 13:3).
The brain sometimes becomes a challenge in our journey of faith. How we look at issues affects our belief system which could be a hindrance that would affect the way God responds to our supplications. So it is important that in reasoning and reaching conclusions, we let the word of God guide us all the way. You don’t have to fully understand before you believe. You don’t have to understand how it will work for you to believe that God will do what He has promised.
How you use your brain determines the following:
1. What you believe.
2. How things turn out for you whether positively or negatively.
3. The direction you go in life, especially, in decision making.
4. How you respond and react to situations.
5. How you live life. You must be careful about the philosophical leaning that you embrace. Be careful what and how you think (Philippians 4:8&9).
Prayer Points:
1. Lord help me to make wise use of my brain.
2. Please release grace to make meaningful and life changing decisions from my thoughts.
