1 Peter 1: 3-9; 1 Corinthians 2:9

Memory Verse:
“whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,”   (1Peter 1:8).

Inexpressible joy is the kind of joy that overwhelms you so much that you
cannot find the right words to describe it. Many of us have heard the phrase ‘Joy Unspeakable’, but only a few have experienced it. Can you describe the joy of a woman who had no womb and had been told by the doctor that she can never carry a child of her own, suddenly becoming pregnant? She, who was already being threatened by her in-laws because of her childlessness, now gives birth to a set of twins. That is ‘joy unspeakable!’

The story above reminds us of the joy that filled the hearts of Elizabeth and Mary at their conceptions (Luke 1:40-42). The healing of the lame man at the beautiful gate is another example that shows inexpressible joy that came as a result of a miracle. God is the author of such mind-blowing miracles and testimonies. All you have to do is believe in Him. Believing in Him means that
you act according to what you say you believe.

To enjoy this kind of joy, faith in God and obedience to His instructions is required. This is our work as stated in James 2:20&21. Your attitude must show that you believe in God and His word. James 1:6-8 says anyone who comes to God without faith should not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. Your joy shall come and you will be alive to witness it.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, grant me joy unspeakable as I exercise faith in You.
2. Father, I believe in You. Please grant the desires of my heart according to Your will.
