Genesis 39:2&3; Acts 10:37-39
Memory Verse:
“how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (Acts 10:38).
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and the Comforter that Jesus promised His disciples would teach, help and bring all things to their remembrance. The presence of God in the life of any individual makes a huge difference. Do you remember Saul, who went looking for his
father’s missing donkeys? It was the presence of the Spirit of God on him that changed him, as prophesied by Samuel, (1 Samuel 10:6&7,10).
When the Spirit of God is with a man, he becomes successful as Joseph was in all his endeavours. Such a one receives favour from God that manifests as favour with men. He receives an excellent spirit that causes him to prosper and become great. David, for example, became great because the Lord God of hosts was with him (2 Samuel 5:10). Solomon, his son, was strengthened in his
kingdom, and the Lord his God waswith him and exalted him exceedingly.
When Jesus Christ was baptised, the Spirit of God descended on Him enduing Him with the power of God to do miracles and to heal all manners of diseases.
Jesus became the epitome of the manifestation of God’s power and presence like no other man had been, giving us an example of what difference the Spirit of God can make in the life of a believer.
Is the Holy Spirit with you? Do you carry the presence of God? You should, if you have been cleansed in the atoning blood of Jesus. Invite Him into your life today.

1. Come, Holy Spirit, I need You. Come in Your presence and power.
