2 Corinthians 5:14-20

Memory Verse:
“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again” (2 Corinthians 5:14&15).

James Easter and his son, Jeff, sang “He’s in my feet when I’m walking, In my tongue when I’m talking, In my eyes and now I can see. He’s in the songs that I’m singing, In my heart His joy is ringing, Jesus Is living In Me.” The purpose of Jesus capturing and redeeming us, is to rebirth us as a body for Himself through the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus met Mary Magdalene, she was possessed by seven demons (Luke8:2&3). The demons were not named, but must have had various immoral ways of influencing and enslaving her. When she gave Jesus a chance, the demons were expelled forever from her life, and Jesus Christ became the life she lived. She became one of those used by God to meet the needs of Christ, and went everywhere, including His burial ground, with Him (Mark 16:9). Is Jesus living in you? Are you living for Jesus? Are you allowing Him to change you by the leading of His Spirit? Are you reflecting His image and person?

Christ must be seen in you because the life you now live is no longer for yourself, but for Jesus Christ who died for you and rose again, if you have accepted Him as Lord. You must be transformed by the renewing of your mind by His word. Your mind must be transformed by yielding to His Spirit (Romans 12:2). Your attitude and ways must replicate His by imitating His way. In all things, you must be a living temple of Jesus in your vicinity.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, renew and change my mind to Christ’s.
2. Jesus Christ, come and live in me forever.
