Mark 1:9-13

Memory Verse: “Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness”
(Mark 1:12).

A life led by the Spirit of God is a complete and great life. There is Anothing more rewarding and glorious than such a life. It is free from any form of confusion, doubt or unfulfillment, both here on earth and in heaven. There are times in our lives when we feel overwhelmed with sorrow, pain and
grief. At such times, we may not know how to process our feelings, much less express them in words to our Heavenly Father. The Holy Spirit can intervene on our behalf and communicate our feelings to the Father. In addition, the Holy Spirit guides us to do what is right at all times. He is able to do this because, as the third member of the Trinity, He knows the mind of God. Our Lord Jesus acted only according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Being led by the Spirit is a popular saying among Christians, yet not many truly know what it means. When Paul, the Apostle, admonishes us to be led by the Spirit in Galatians 5:16-18, he means that we should be open and receptive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. A believer who consistently refuses to listen to the Holy Spirit’s guidance, becomes callous and loses connection with the Spirit’s guidance. Such a believer will, consequently, be led by the sinful flesh. As a believer, you need to follow after God and obey the Holy Spirit’s conviction and guidance. This way,
you can be truly led by the Spirit.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, give me the grace to yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
2. May I always recognise when the Holy Spirit is speaking to me.
