Text:
1 Samuel 3:10-20
Memory Verse:
“So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground” (1 Samuel 3:19).
Despite dying at a very old age, all Israel lamented over Samuel, the greatest prophet that arose in Israel after Moses. He left a legacy of a spiritual reformer who revived the true worship of Jehovah and purged Israel of all familiar spirits and wizards.
Being a righteous man, Samuel was undeniable and irresistible, as none of his prayers went unanswered. As a prophet, his words were infallible. As he grew in the presence of and total obedience to the Lord, the Lord was with him and did not allow any of his words to fall to the ground. Thus, Samuel made a phenomenal impact before God, against the powers of darkness, in his nation and across all generations. His death was a monumental loss to his nation and generation. How glorious and unforgettable do you want your exit from this
world to be?
What legacy do you intend to leave before God, mankind and Satan? How undeniable are your prayers before God? How infallible are your words before men? What devastating wreckage are you inflicting on the powers of darkness in and around you? Will your death constitute a monumental loss to yournation, world and generation? What phenomenal gain will your exit from this
world bring to God and eternity?
Life is not measured by how long you live, but by how well you fulfil eternal purpose and destiny. The starting point is to have a father/son relationship with God and then receive and obey His instructions for your life.
Prayer Points:
1. O Lord, grant me the grace to live worthy of You, so as to be a monumental blessing to my nation, world and generation.
2. Father, let me end in eternity as a phenomenal gain to You.
