2 Chronicles 7: 12-14
Memory Verse:
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
God has a special plan and interest for Nigeria despite all the wickedness going on currently. He promised Solomon, following the temple dedication, that if His people that are called by His name will humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, He will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.
If Christians in Nigeria would humble themselves and pray, God, in His mercy and faithfulness, will hear from heaven and heal our land. Since He has control over all creation, He also has the power to release the country from the stranglehold of her “captors” just as He healed the water in the land of Israel, during the days of Elisha (2 Kings 2: 19-22). God has always thwarted every evil plan against Nigeria and He is willing to do more, if only we will humble ourselves and seek His face in prayer.
Although current events indicate a determined resistance to His will by the wicked ones, the fervent prayer of the righteous will overcome. Let us emphasize more on righteousness and total surrender to God, such that only His will be done in Nigeria. The only way we can gain victory over the forces of darkness operating in Nigeria is by shunning corruption, wickedness, injustice and hatred, and embrace total obedience to God’s instructions and live holy lives. Christians should always remember to take everything that concerns Nigeria to God in prayer, instead of playing blame games. When last did you pray for Nigeria?

2. Do whatever you need to do to recover Nigeria from the wicked, O Lord.
