Prospering Through Prophecy

Text:
2 Chronicles 20:20-24; Ezra 6:13-15

Memory Verse:
“So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo”(Ezra 6:14a).

The prophetic advantage is one of the privileges believers have. Prophecy Thas to do with prediction, especially one made by a prophet or under divine inspiration. Some believers have suffered because they despised prophecy. God brought Israel out of Egypt by a prophet and also preserved them by a prophet (Hosea 12:13). The Elders of the Jews built and dedicated the Temple in Jerusalem and prospered through the prophecies of prophet Haggai and Zechariah. When
the children of Israel were to fight the Ammonites, Moabites and others, Jehoshaphat said to them in 2 Chronicles 20:20 “… Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” They did and their enemies were defeated before them. When Moab rebelled against Israel and kings Jehoram and Jehoshaphat consulted Prophet Elisha to inquire of the LORD from him in 2 Kings 3:17,
Elisha prophesied “For thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.” They prospered by it as seen in the verses that followed.
Every year, the servant of the Lord declares what God says about the year for members of the Church and as many that believe the prophetic declarations for the year prosper with them and have tremendous testimonies to share. This year, may you enjoy the prophetic advantage in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:
1. Father, I repent of every way I have despised prophetic declarations by
your servants.
2. This year, I will prosper by enjoying the prophetic advantage.
