Text:
1 Corinthians 12:25-27
Memory Verse:
“Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually” (1Corinthians. 12:27).
The Church is not the building, but you and I and the Spirit of God in us. Now let us look at the book of Ephesians 5:30. “For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.” From the scripture above, it is obvious we are the Church. So, when your conduct does not portray the life of a believer, you are dishonouring Christ, who is the head of the Church, “the first born from the dead, that in all things He might have the pre-eminence” (Colossians 1:18).
Let anyone who is called by Christ’s name live by His examples, we cannot afford to live carelessly as believers. God is love and we must represent Jesus anywhere we find ourselves. Show love not only to those in the household of faith, but to any one that comes in contact with us. When we do this, we represent Jesus Christ and our society will be completely transformed. Remember, ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people (1 Peter 2:9).
We are sent as light to the world, that they may see our light and glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). Show the world who Christ is, through your conduct and behaviour. As a Church, we are expected to go about doing good and making a formidable impact in our world of influence for the kingdom of God. You are an ambassador for Christ.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, help me to make a formidable impact in my world for the kingdom.
2. Lord, help me to represent You wherever I find myself.
