The Availability Of God’s Grace

Text: 2 Peter 1:5-12; 3:17&18

Memory Verse: “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; to Him be glory both now and forever, Amen” (2 Peter 3:18).

God’s grace is accessible to every believer. The Scriptures affirm that we are saved by grace (Ephesians 2:8) and that God’s saving grace has appeared to all people (Titus 2:11). However, it is essential for us to grow in that grace. Without growth in God’s grace, we cannot fully utilise the blessings provided for us in Christ Jesus. To avoid falling into error, as warned in 2 Peter 3:17, it is crucial to cultivate the grace that has saved you. Growing in grace is a gradual process that requires steadfastness, commitment and devotion in your relationship with God.

You must be constant in prayer, actively hearing and applying the Word of God, demonstrating dedication and service to God and remaining committed to Christian consecration, which involves separation from worldly influences. As you persist in these practices, God’s grace will accumulate in your life, leading to continuous growth.
Growing in grace is also linked to increasing your knowledge of Christ. This means deepening your understanding of the Word, as Christ is the living Word of God, full of grace and truth. It is vital to allow God to fill you with His grace.
By being steadfast in your walk with God and seeking His knowledge, the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ will be multiplied in your life.

Prayer Points:
1. Heavenly Father, help me to dedicate myself to meditating on the Word and engaging in prayer.
2. Heavenly Father, help me to practice Christian consecration and remain committed to Your kingdom.
