Text:
Deuteronomy 17:14-20
Memory Verse:
“When you come to the land which the LORD your God is giving you, and possess it and dwell in it, and say, ‘I will set a king over me like all the nations that are around me,’” (Deuteronomy 17:14).
Our God is an awesome God, He reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power, and love. Our God is an awesome God” (Mullins, 1988). Our awesome, All-knowing God, knows the end from the beginning and He demonstrates it in His dealings with men. How did God know this would happen to have made provision for it?“Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah, and said to him, ‘Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations’” (1 Samuel 8:4&5). How did He know that Jeroboam would be king in 1 Kings 11:31 ahead of time?
David, in Psalm 139, aptly captures God’s knowledge as being “too wonderful
for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.” God knows everything. He is the Almighty, Creator, and Sustainer of all things. His knowledge is awesome and
He always makes a provision for His people to live right by warning them of
impending danger. If you read the Bible regularly, you will be guided. Do you
read the Bible regularly? Do you fellowship with others online, in person or
read Christian literature regularly?
God knows all about you and has made plans for you. He wants you to succeed
in life and also make heaven. He understands your situation, the travails you
are going through and knows how to help you overcome them, but you need to
trust Him enough to follow His warnings and instructions.
Prayer Points:
1. Help me to trust You more, O Lord.
2. I acknowledge Your unsearchable knowledge, my God.
