Psalm 19:1-10
Memory Verse:
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork” (Psalm 19:10).
The glory of God is the magnificence, worth, loveliness, and grandeur of His many perfections, which He displays in His creative and redemptive acts in order to make His glory known to those who live in His presence. God communicates His glory through His creation, image bearers, providence, and redemptive acts. God’s people respond by glorifying Him. God receives glory and through uniting His people to Christ, shares His glory with them. All of these contribute to His glory, as God, in His manifold perfection, is exhibited, known, rejoiced in, and prized.
Moses experienced the glory of God: “So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but
My face shall not be seen” (Exodus 33:19-23).
All born again Christians can also experience the glory of God by getting closer to God through the reading of the Bible, meditating and praying; first, pray that the glory will be revealed to you and in you. You can see and experience the glory of God, but you must diligently ask and seek for it to be revealed.
When we pray the glory into the earth, miracles, signs and wonders will occur in the Church and in our own personal lives. That’s why Jesus told Martha that if she would believe, she would see the glory of God (John 11:40).
Prayer Points:
1. God let me experience Your glory.
2. May Your glory never depart from Your church.
