The Reality Of Being In Christ

Text: 2 Corinthians 5:17&18, Colossians 1:12-14

Memory Verse: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

As the Scripture declares, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. So, regardless of age, class, social status, or background, when you are in Christ, you become a brand-new person, a new species of being, a member of God’s Kingdom. Your spiritual position is in Christ, which means you are in the Anointed One and you are covered with His anointing. You are in Christ, shielded from evil and calamities. You are in Christ, a new creation made in the image and likeness of God and seated in heavenly places with Him. There is a significant difference between your situation and your position. Your situation refers to your experiences in this world, the things you go through, naturally. Your position in Christ is your revelation, who you are according to God’s Word. Your position is higher, greater, and superior to your situation.

Your position determines your situation. Your position in Christ is your reality, not your present situation. You cannot be seated with Christ and be affected by situations and circumstances. To change your situation, you must understand your position in Christ. God’s Word which is your truth and reality (John 17:17). When you take God’s Word as your reality, it begins to produce life in you. As you confess God’s Word, your experiences will align with your position in Christ. You are in Christ, the safest place ever! Meditate on this truth constantly and watch the incredible transformation that will occur in your life.

Prayer Points:
1. Heavenly Father, I thank You that I am seated with Christ in the heavenly places. I rule and reign in this life.
2. Heavenly Father, grant me the strength and courage to walk in the newness of life.
