Text: Proverbs 21:20, Psalm 112:1-3
Memory Verse: “There is desirable treasure, And oil in the dwelling of the wise, But a foolish man squanders it (Proverbs 21:20).
God has created all of us excellently. He placed in each of us treasures that will make us excel in life (2 Corinthians 4:7). These treasures that God has given to us are not to be exhausted, but to be multiplied. Psalm 112:3 says that “Wealth and riches will be in his house: and his righteousness endures forever.” In other words, a wise person does not exhaust what is given to him, but rather multiplies it. Now, everyone is attracted to excellence and that is why there will always be treasures to be desired in the house of the wise. On the contrary, the foolish man does not know how to keep, save or preserve the treasures that have been given to him; he just exhausts all that he has been given. God, the creator of all mankind, has given to you treasures to work with and
multiply. These treasures may be wealth, words of encouragement, a good voice, care-giving, etc. Whatever it is, you must apply wisdom to make it grow, so that others can draw near to God.
Are you a wise one or a foolish one? Are you making use of all that God has deposited in you? Or are you wasting it or even burying it so that no one will know? The Bible says that you should let your light so shine that men may see and give glory to your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
Prayer Points:
1. Father, I receive an excellent spirit.
2. Father, help me to make use of all that You have deposited in me.
