Text:
Ephesians 2:1&2, 11&12
Memory Verse:
“that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the Commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenant of promise, having no hope and without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12).
There is a popular saying that ‘a life without Christ is in crisis.’ A life that lacks the presence and guidance of God will be full of iniquities, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and mind such as adultery, fornication, lust, hatred, murder, pride, disobedience and the like. Such a life can never
enjoy God’s covenants of promise.
Walking in the way of the world denies us fellowship and communication with our Maker. One thrives in sin and seeks luxury and comfort at all costs without minding the consequences. Such a person becomes a stranger to God and is cut off from enjoying his inheritance in God and its blessings. It is like a son who is a total stranger to his father and, therefore, does not enjoy fatherly benefits and blessings (Ephesians 2:12).
If your lifestyle is in sync with God’s, and things don’t seem to be working as expected, then you must wait on God for a solution. Though it may seem that the unbelievers are flourishing, doing greater things or having an edge over believers in the society, do not be shaken because this is a tactic employed by the devil to discourage believers and make them backslide. The devil’s aim is to
harden the hearts of men and lead them back into sin.
God is merciful and loving. He is ever willing to save by His grace through Jesus Christ, His son, revealing to us the exceeding riches of His grace as a show of His kindness towards us. Are you ready to enjoy His grace and blessings?
Prayer Points:
1. Father, help me to always stay tuned to You.
2. God, let me enjoy the blessings of being Your child.
