Genesis 12:1-3
Memory Verse:
”I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing” (Genesis 12:2).

To bless means ‘to increase’. Therefore, when a person becomes a blessing, it means, through him, good things are increased and bad things become good. God made a covenant with Abraham that,
through him, the whole earth will be blessed. Abraham became a reference point of blessing to the whole earth by just believing in God.
You are a blessing, not because of the amount of money you have, but because of who you are in Christ. Every Christian is a blessing because Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, so that we might partake, through faith, in the blessings which the Lord gave unto Abraham (Galatians 3:13&14). You are a blessing not by the works of the law, but by faith in the finished work
of Christ on the cross of Calvary. As a blessing, you are to cause an increase in every place you find yourself (Proverbs 10:22). Your life must affect your environment for God. Men must see you as a blessing unto them rather than a curse.

Through your life, men must praise God. The best way to bless people isto introduce them to Jesus, so that they also can enjoy the covenant of blessing. How do people see you in your neighbourhood, as a blessing or a curse? Remember, it is the righteousness of the upright that exalts a city. All the possessions the Lord has given you is to be a blessing unto people around you.
Never doubt it, you are a blessing!

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, I thank You for making me a blessing.
2. Father, give me wisdom to properly apply the blessings You have given me for the benefits of others.
