Text: Deuteronomy 32:11&12
Memory Verse: “As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, Spreading out its wings, taking them up, Carrying them on its wings” (Deuteronomy 32:11).
A mother eagle is known for her unusual, yet effective way of teaching her young ones to fly. She deliberately upends her nest and pushes her eaglets off a cliff. One can only imagine what those little birds must think, “Why is my own mother doing this to me?” Yet, through what appears harsh, she helps them discover their wings and purpose. Similarly, God sometimes allows crises in the lives of His children to get our attention and to teach us vital lessons that prosperity and routine may never reveal (Daniel 6:16).
I recall a year I suffered an accident that left me immobilised for three months, with my leg in POP. That year had started with such spiritual momentum. We planted a church in a remote village, and even hosted a powerful crusade early in July. But by the third week of that same month, the accident happened. I was devastated and full of questions until the Lord gently revealed to me that He allowed it to arrest my attention. I had become too busy and spiritually drained, and was heading for a crash.
During those quiet months, God taught me deep truths that transformed my walk with Him. That period of stillness became one of my most fruitful seasons.
Are you in a crisis now? Do not despair, do not resist, and do not blame others. Instead, ask the Lord, “What do You want me to learn?” Let Him use the storm to strengthen your wings.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, I thank You for the crisis I am in now.
2. Father, open my eyes to see Your purpose in my crisis.
