Text: Song of Solomon 2:15
Memory Verse: ”Catch us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes” (Song of Solomon 2:15).
The goal of every believer is to make heaven and, in pursuit of it, he lives a life of integrity and dignity, maintaining a solid record as a Christian. But, since he is in the world, he is subject to all forms of temptations and should beware of the little fox that spoils the vine.
The little fox could be that small, insignificant and innocuous act that could destroy your vineyard of solid Christian records in your marriage, office or Church. It could be a little lie, a little compromise, or an unrighteous act. Do not through acts of desperation, fall into the sin of over invoicing like the unjust servant (Luke 16:1-8), bribery, corruption and sexual immorality (2 Samuel 11).
The battle to bring down the believer is a continuous one and the enemy employs tricks to achieve this purpose. The little fox could spoil your vine in these ways: carelessness, pride, disobedience, desperation, lack of contentment and character flaws, among others.
As you run the Christian race, protect your testimony and maintain your integrity and dignity. Do not be lured by the world and do not be negatively desperate in life under any circumstance. Such desperation could result in an unpalatable result. Time is running out and the enemy is seeking who he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). You should not leave any room for any accusation against you. With prayer, obedience to the word of God, fellowship with the brethren and determination you can deal with that little fox.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, thank You for thus far You have led me.
2. O God, let me not fall into the temptation of the enemy; give me the power to stand for You.
