Text: John 10:26-28
Memory Verse: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).

It is God who awakens and opens the ears of the believer to hear His voice. Hearing from God is not a privilege reserved for a select few, it is a vital Inecessity for every child of God. If you cannot hear God, following Him becomes difficult, and spiritual direction may be lost.

Communication between a believer and the Lord is essential to spiritual growth and survival. It is through divine communication that a believer is guided, fed, protected, encouraged, strengthened and nurtured.

Consider the lives of key figures in the scripture. If they had not heard from God, their destinies would have taken very different turns. Moses would not have been sent to confront Pharaoh and deliver Israel (Exodus 3:10). Elijah’s ministry might have ended prematurely when he fled from Jezebel. Samuel would not have become a prophet, if he had not recognised God’s voice as a child (1Samuel 3:10). David may never have ascended to the throne, if he had not consistently inquired of the Lord. Even Apostle Paul could have missed divine direction during his missionary journeys had he not been sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

It is the birthright of every believer to hear from God. As you pray, study the Word, serve and witness, it is crucial that you also learn to listen. A meaningful and fruitful spiritual life depends on your ability to discern God’s voice and respond in obedience. Do not ignore it; cultivate it daily.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, open my spiritual ears to hear Your voice.
2. Lord, give me a heart that understands Your voice.
