Experience Jesus’ Healing Touch

Text: Jeremiah 17:14-18

Memory Verse: “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise” (Jeremiah 17:14).

Having a feeling of discomfort in one part of the body, could be so disheartening, not to talk of someone who is battling with a long- term ailment or has been bedridden in the hospital for a long time with no definite time as to when all the pains and suffering will end. Sometimes it could get so bad that family members lose hope and even pray for death on behalf of their loved ones who is sick, in the hope that this will put an end to the
suffering.

The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34 had been battling her ailment for twelve years. At the time she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she was all alone. This could possibly imply that there was no loved one with
her; perhaps they were already tired and had lost hope regarding her ailment. Do you know that there is someone who is never tired of healing our sickness? Jesus can put an end to that long-standing ailment, if only you could put your trust in Him again. It does not matter how long you have been battling with the ailment, or what the medical prognosis may be?

You can also be the one who will bring back that reassurance of God’s power to heal to your loved one in this situation (Matthew 4:23). May God heal everyone going through one form of sickness or the other right now!

Prayer Points:
1. Gracious Father, heal me of every ailment and make me whole again.
2. God, help me declare Your healing power to the sick.
