Text: 2 Peter 3:14-18
Memory Verse: “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…”(2 Peter 2:18).

Growth is the defining characteristic of all living things. Anything that Gpossesses life has the capacity to grow; whether in size, maturity, or function, usually, over time. Likewise, a Christian’s spiritual life is expected to reflect continuous growth.

Grace is the free, unearned favour of God. It is His divine enablement working in the believer to bring salvation, sanctification, inner strength, and victory over temptation. Bill Gothard aptly said, “Grace gives us the desire and power to do God’s will.”According to Scripture, believers are not only saved by grace, they are instructed to grow in it.

A Christian who is not growing is not truly living. Growth is the natural evidence of life. While the Holy Spirit is the source of true spiritual growth, you play a vital role by yielding to Him daily. Your growth in Christ is closely linked to how you respond to His promptings and how intentional you are about seeking Him.

You can support this growth by immersing yourself in God’s Word, engaging in worship, prayer, and cultivating fellowship with Him. The more time you spend in His presence, the more you are transformed into His image. This growth produces power for godly exploits, soul-winning, teaching, healing, and more.

The truth is that spiritual maturity is not determined by how long you have been a Christian, but by how open and willing you are to let the Holy Spirit shape and work through you. True growth in grace is an ongoing journey of surrender and transformation.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord have Your way in me. Help me to grow in grace every day.
2. Lord, I overcome everything in my life that is working against my growth in grace.
