Text: Psalm 139:23&24
Memory Verse: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23&24).
In your quest to live a life that is right and pleasing to God, you must not only examine yourself, you must allow God to examine you through His Iword and by His Spirit. You must be able to pray the words in Psalm 139 like David did or recite and sing the following:
Have Thine own way Lord,
Have Thine own way,
Thou art the potter, I am the clay,
Mould me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.
Have Thine own way Lord,
Have Thine own way,
Search me and try me Master today,
Whiter than snow Lord wash me just now,
As in Thy presence humbly I bow.
Have Thine own way Lord,
Have Thine own way,
Hold over my being absolute sway,
Filled with Thy spirit till all can see,
Christ, only always living in me.
[Jim Reeves]
Living for the Lord can only be done by His power and grace. Do you see God as the Potter and you the clay? Are you yielding to Him? You must be conscious of the need to be guided by the word of God, more so in these difficult times. God, the Potter, must be given a free hand to have His way and mould you into His image in every way. You need to be filled with His Spirit till Christ is seen in you. Will you allow God to have His way in your affairs?
Prayer Points:
1. You are the potter, Lord, have Your way in me.
2. I will yield myself to You in all things.
