Text: Proverbs 11:28-31
Memory Verse: “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise” (Proverbs 11:30).
One of the key mandates we have in Christ Jesus is to be fruitful in soul Owinning. It follows, therefore, as the Bible says, “that he who wins souls is wise.” It is considered foolishness to neglect active participation in sharing the Gospel. We are called to be generous with the
Good-News and not withhold it from others.
Some important insights from Proverbs 11:30 are:
1. Only the righteous can be an effective soul-winner. You cannot live in sin and be an effective witness for Christ.
2. Every genuine Christian has the supernatural resource to be productive in soul winning. This resource is the life of God within us.
3. A lack of converts is a sign that something may be wrong in your walk with Christ.
4. Active soul-winning is a mark of wisdom and the correct lifestyle for a true Christian.
If you have not been actively winning souls for Christ, now is the time to start.
Some ways to get involved in soul-winning are:
1. Start now, if you have not been deliberately winning souls.
2. Live in righteousness and align your life with Christ’s.
3. Pray for opportunities and be ready to take them when they come.
4. Be creative in your approach. Do not follow a rigid script, but allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.
5. Desire souls; you must have a passion for reaching others for Christ.
6. Engage your resources; use your time and money to win souls.
7. Be an active intercessor for world evangelisation.
8. Support genuine evangelistic work whenever possible.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, forgive me for withholding the Good News of Christ from those yet to be saved around me.
2. Lord, give me grace, courage and boldness to declare the gospel of Christ always.
