Text: Mark 3:12-18
Memory Verse: “And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him” (Mark 3:13).
A higher ground is a new height. God wants His children to operate on a higher ground and not in the valley. The Lord appointed His chosen twelve and took them to the mountain. To be on the higher ground, you have to stand out among the crowd. On the higher ground, things are different; you operate in the higher spiritual realm, and forces of darkness will have no choice but to obey you.
When you operate on higher ground, you are no longer a commoner; you are either a president, governor, minister, or captain of industry in the Spirit. If you want to move to higher ground and stand out, soak yourself in God’s presence. On the higher ground, divine revelations are given to you. The devil and his agents are afraid of you, and they keep their distance.
It was on Mount Carmel that Elijah heard the voice of rain after years of drought (1 Kings 18:41-43). When you are on higher ground, you will have foreknowledge of events, your spiritual antenna will be sensitive, and when you say a thing, it will come to pass.
On the higher ground, you become a special instrument in the hands of God. He used Paul, David, Samuel, and Peter. God will make use of you too. Make sure you are on higher ground. Do not live below your potential; be a giant in the household of faith.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, I move to the higher ground where You want me to be.
2. By Your grace, I will not operate in the valley anymore.
