Text: Ephesians 4:17-24
Memory Verse: “This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind” (Ephesians 4:17).
Your personal conduct, like your dressing, is very important. That is the first thing people see and observe about you. What display you put up or how you present yourself shows who you really are. Christians in Ephesus in Bible days lived, where a lot of immorality was practised like it is happening today. They lived in a society that was sinful and
ungodly. The only reason people live in sin is because they have rejected the truth (Romans 1:21-32). They have also replaced God’s truth with things that satisfy them. The word of God has been and is still being preached to the
hearing of all but some have chosen to ignore it (Romans 1:18-20). Everyone believes or does not by choice.
How are you surviving as a Christian in our present world that is full of warped beliefs? Are you able to stand alone for the Lord everywhere you find yourself?
You must not live like the non-believers, who were addressed as ‘gentiles’ in those days because they walked in the futility of their minds. You must walk in purity because you serve a holy God. God’s spirit will not always strive with man, so you need to make the right choice of walking with Him on His own terms. He says anyone who seeks Him with all his heart will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). Are you seeking the truth or reaching back into your old ways of life? Lean on Jesus to succeed in your Christian walk.
