I “Speak Jesus” With Excitement

Text: John 4:3-7; 28-30

Memory Verse: “The woman then left her water-pot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, ‘Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?’” (John 4:28 & 29)

How excited are you about your faith in Jesus? If you spent a minute with a new acquaintance, what would they go away with? The Samaritan woman probably went to the well at noon that day because the area being deserted would make her, an outcast, more comfortable. Jesus was there and they had a one on one discussion. His
approach put her at ease despite her past life’s circumstances. The gospel message was presented and an evangelist was born! She left her water pot at the well hurrying to “speak Jesus” to her neighbours with excitement.

When you experience Jesus first hand, you cannot but speak with excitement like Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother and Paul did (John 1:40&41). A life changing experience with Jesus cannot be kept a secret but ends up bubbling
through your conversations, interactions and outlook. Your past does not determine your future, rather, it opens doors for better things if you allow Jesus to use you. When you invite someone to church, tell people about Jesus at work, in the bus or neighbourhood, you are “speaking Jesus” and changing the world (Romans 1: 16). You may never know the impact of your effort, but be assured that it will not go unnoticed by God.

The song “I speak Jesus” by Charity Gayle tells how the power in the name of Jesus heals, releases souls held captive by depression, shines through shadows, breaking every addiction and stronghold. Go out every day “speaking Jesus”
with excitement.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, make me Your oracle today so I can speak of Jesus with excitement.
2. Lead me to share Your joy with others daily, dear Lord.
