Text: Ephesians 6:13-18
Memory Verse: “Therefore take up the whole armour of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:13).
Challenges will come, but you must keep standing. If you have started something, do not quit because of challenges. Keep standing until your breakthrough comes. Stay there, God never said you should jump ship because of difficulties. Remember these words of encouragement, “And let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9).
You must not change your confessions because of challenges. Job did not change his confession because of adversity; rather, he said boldly in the face of a hopeless situation, “If a man dies shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait till my change come” (Job 14:14KJV). Paul, the apostle says “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed but not in despair. Persecuted but not forsaken, cast down, but not
destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:8&9). Paul remained undaunted in the face of adversity. He kept standing. That is the hallmark of leaders. He even declared that he was not moved by the things he was going through, nor counted his life anything, so that he might finish his course with joy. He did not allow the circumstances around him to make him do negative things; he was focused on the call of God upon his life. Jesus focused on the joy that was set before him. Follow His example; look into the word and you will find help.

1. Lord Jesus, help me to stand in times of challenges.
2. Lord, help me to be focused and not do negative things.
