Lord, What Will You Have Me Do?

Text: Acts 9:1-6, 15-18
Memory Verse: “So he, trembling and astonished, said, ‘Lord, what do You want me to do?’ Then the Lord said to him, ‘Arise, and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do’” (Acts 9:6).
The powerful encounter Saul of Tarsus had with the Lord Jesus was one that transformed him from a fierce persecutor of the early Church into a devoted follower of Christ. Known later as Apostle Paul, he went on to become one of the most remarkable examples of Christian living and service to God.

From the moment of his conversion, Paul became a spiritual force feared by demons and respected by men. He preached the gospel boldly, despite facing intense opposition, persecution, and threats to his life. His contribution to the Kingdom, through evangelism, discipleship, and doctrinal teaching, remains unparalleled. Much of our understanding of the Christian faith is drawn from his Spirit-inspired epistles. Truly, Paul is worth celebrating.

What was his secret? How could he testify that he laboured more abundantly than the other apostles (1 Corinthians 15:10)? Perhaps it lies in how he began his Christian journey, with the right question to the right person asking, “Lord, what will You have me do?” Many believers today are more focused on what God can do for them than what they can do for God.

Choose today to develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with God. Seek His will daily and be ready to follow wherever He leads. Have you asked the Lord what He would have you do? Do so in prayer today, with a willing heart. “Whatever He says to you, do it” (John 2:5). Let your life count for God and for eternity.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, what will You have me do?
2. Lord, give me a passion for pursuing Your agenda for my life.
