Text: Deuteronomy 28:1-8
Memory Verse: “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 28:2).
A look at the lives of the patriarch of old, especially Abraham, shows that God desires everlasting progress for His children. Some blessings are temporary; they evaporate sooner or later because God is not the giver of such blessings.
As a believer there are certain secrets you need to know to enjoy God’s perpetual blessings, not a temporary one. You need to launch into the deep (Luke 5:4). Do not serve God superficially because He’s the rewarder of those
that diligently seek Him. Any direction you take contrary to God’s perfect will is not in your interest.
If you truly love and obey the Lord, enduring blessings will definitely be yours. For you to enjoy the enduring blessings, you need to abandon the valley for the mountain, leave shallow waters for the deep. God does not give His children temporary blessings but everlasting ones, as long as you are on His side.
Deuteronomy 28:1-13 clearly spells out powerful blessings that can be yours, if you have faith and believe in Him. Blessings do not only mean the acquisition of material things or going higher on the ladder of your career. Any blessing that does not emanate from God is a curse. Any progressive advancement that leaves God out is retrogressive. Another route to enduring blessings is to aim high in the things of the Spirit. How many souls have you won for the Lord? Support God’s work and be a regular sower and the Lord will bless you, indeed.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, let Your blessings upon my life endure forever.
2. Lord, I will tread in Your path that my blessings may endure.
