Text: Romans 15:14-21
Memory Verse: “in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ” (Romans 15:19).
Apostle Paul testifies that it was through the power of God’s Spirit that he was able to do the amazing things that he did. He further testified that he would not be presumptuous to speak of anything except what Christ had accomplished through him. Paul knew that it was by the Spirit of God that many non-Jewish people were coming into the faith. This power of the Spirit of God was displayed through the mighty signs and amazing wonders, both in word and deed, that God wrought through his hands. These great signs and wonders happened from the city of Jerusalem to as far as the distant Roman province of Illyricum, as he preached the wonderful message of Christ Jesus.
Everyone who knows the Lord can be a witness for Him wherever he or she is placed. The little slave girl in Naaman’s home testified to the power of her God and this, eventually, led to Naaman’s salvation (2 Kings 5:1-3). Some people have not yet come into the knowledge of Christ and faith because you have not acted as a light carrier, the proclaimer of good news, illuminating the darkness around you. You carry the Holy Spirit inside of you and He is to
help you live a holy life drawing others to the marvellous light of the Creator. The power of the Holy Spirit is essential to proclaim the gospel and you must be the carrier of this power before you can fully preach the gospel. God is
depending on you.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, help me to be a light bearer and repairer of broken places by the Spirit of light inside of me.
2. Lord, let the power of the Spirit of God find expression in my life.
