Text: Psalm 44:1-8
Memory Verse: “We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, The deeds You did in their days, In the days of old” (Psalm 44:1).
Testimony is telling what you saw or what you know. Testimonies are given by an eyewitness or someone with adequate knowledge of events as they happened. In the court of law, a testifier or witness is required to strengthen the case for both the petitioner and defendant and the outcome of the court proceeding becomes a precedent or template for any other person that finds him or herself in the same situation. This is the same as sharing the testimony of what God has done in our lives.
Many people have refused to be a source of strength to people around them by not telling them what they know or have seen God do in their lives and circumstances. Testimonies are powerful, they are tools to bring comfort and assurance to people. They increase the confidence of the people listening or reading of the ability of God to do the same for them, especially when they find themselves in similar situations. Testimonies make us witness to the people of what God can do. Sharing testimony is also a way of having permanent victory over the enemy (Revelation 12:11).
Begin to think of the things that God has done in your life, the victories, provisions, protection, and deliverance. Document and publish them. Stand in the congregation of the people of God; make a boast in the Lord by sharing those testimonies. Let the devil be ashamed, let the people of God be strengthened and encouraged to trust God for their own miracle.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, thank You for Your mighty deeds in my life.
2. Lord, grant me grace not to be silent about Your miracles in my life.
