Text: Galatians 3:10-14

Memory Verse: “Yet the law is not of faith, but ‘the man who does them shall live by them’” (Galatians 3:12).

Everyone in Christ Jesus must have a correct perspective of the essence of the law. The law was given to reveal the nature of sin, though it does not make anything perfect. It also does not come from faith and does not save man. Anyone who does the things prescribed by the law is only living by human effort and not by faith. Christ Jesus is the grace that appeared to all men enabling them to live lives that please the Father (Titus 2:11). If a man keeps the law, but fails in one, he is still guilty of not keeping the law. The fulfilment of the law lies in Jesus Christ and as such He has fulfilled the law and pleased the Father (Romans 8:3).

Believing in Him makes us partakers of His nature. Therefore, since it is not possible to obey all the law, it is better to embrace the life of faith in the Son of God, which guarantees you peace and right standing with God. The life of faith is total dependence on what Christ has done and not what you can or cannot do. No one can and will be justified before God through the works of the law but by faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross. The wholeessence ofthe law was to serve as our tutor tobringusto Christ, that we might be justified by faith (Galatians 3:24). Embrace Christ through faith today.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, give me strength to embrace every work of grace in my life.
2. Father, please enable me to live a faith-filled life that pleases You.
