Text: Deuteronomy 23:3-6
Memory Verse: “Nevertheless the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you” (Deuteronomy 23:5).
The story of Balaam and Balak, as found in Numbers 22 & 23, provides a Tpowerful example of how God can overturn the plans of the enemy from intended curses into blessings. Despite being hired to curse the children of Israel, Balaam could only speak blessings because God intervened. Balak’s agenda to curse and defeat Israel was rendered powerless by God’s protective hand.
This is a reminder that no matter what the enemy might plan or the obstacles you may face, God is able to overturn all schemes and bring about favour and blessings. When you align with God’s will, He can take what was meant for harm and turn it into something good, just as He did for the Israelites. God’s power to reverse situations ensures that even the most troubling circumstances can work out for your good and fulfillment.
With God’s favour, you can experience victory over your enemies and challenges, just as Israel did. The Bible often emphasises how those who trust in the Lord will ultimately rejoice while their enemies are left in regret and defeat (Psalm 20:6-8). As Balaam was forced to bless Israel instead of cursing them, so too will God cause every plan against you to work for your good. When the enemy plans their worst, God will overturn it for your grandest best, allowing you to experience the fullness of His favour and unstoppable blessings.
Trust in God’s overturning power, and you will see how He can transform any
adversity into victory.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, frustrate the enemy of my destiny.
2. Father, let me experience Your overturning power.
