Text: Proverbs 23:1&10
Memory Verse: “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7).
Who you are is a direct reflection of the thoughts you allow in your heart and the cumulative effect of the thoughts you have cultivated over time. Your thoughts serve as the foundation upon which the trajectory of your life and future is built. This is why it is crucial to guard your heart with all diligence, as instructed in Proverbs 4:23, “Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it spring the issues of life.” Your thoughts have the power to shape your words, actions, and life. When your mind is filled with right, positive, and great thoughts, they will manifest in the way you speak, live, and the results you achieve. The Apostle Paul emphasised the importance of having virtuous and praiseworthy thoughts in Philippians 4:8.
The power of your thoughts can either elevate or hinder your future, destiny, and eternity. Lucifer’s prideful thoughts to exalt himself above God, led to his downfall, separation from God and disastrous end (Isaiah 14:13-15). Daniel’s decision to keep his heart pure and righteous on the contrary, made him stand out in Babylon. His uncompromising thoughts of righteousness attracted divine favour, leading him to greatness and distinction (Daniel 1:8&9). The quality of your thoughts today will determine the direction of your future and the fulfillment of your destiny. So, be intentional about the thoughts you entertain. That way, you set yourself on a path to a glorious future, a fulfilled destiny, and a victorious eternity.

1. Father, please circumcise and sanctify my heart to think good thoughts always.
