Text: Esther 4:9-17
Memory Verse: “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” (Esther 4:16).

Many Christians today seem to be “having fun” in the house of God, treating it like a grand picnic. Some are focused on “maximising destiny,” chasing after breakthroughs, or “awakening the giant within” in order to conquer the world. Worse still, some have gone into inexcusable spiritual retirement, enjoying their spiritual benefits, inheritances, and privileges in Christ, without contributing meaningfully to the kingdom.

We see large numbers of vibrant young Christians in church, yet their impact on the kingdom is minimal. Issues of evangelism, world missions, intercession for the lost and unreached, genuine Christian character, sacrificial love and giving, holiness, consecration, prayer warfare, marketplace and lifestyle evangelism and, even the reality of Christian martyrdom, are increasingly neglected.

Like many of us, Queen Esther was once in her comfort zone, enjoying royalty and forgetting the people God called her to serve, until Mordecai stirred her heart. He reminded her of the real purpose of her calling: to be a deliverer of God’s people. Esther repented of her complacency, embraced the cost of obedience and courageously declared, “If I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16).

May God stir your heart today toward deeper commitment and selfless kingdom service. Like Esther, it is time to rise from comfort and step into calling. Your generation must not waste the grace that has been given to it. Live boldly, serve sacrificially, and impact eternity. Will you dare to say, like Esther for God and His kingdom, “If I perish, I perish”?

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, please have mercy on me for every area in which I have wasted Your grace in my life.
2. Father, stir up my heart today for fresh commitment to Your purpose.
