2 Timothy 2:1-7
Memory Verse:
“You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ” (2 Timothy 2:3).
Everyone who confesses the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour has enlisted in God’s army. To be enlisted in the army of a country and confirmed as an Officer, a person is properly scrutinised and made to go through rigorous training. It takes a long period of training to become a soldier. In Christ’s army, where you are supposed to function as a child of God, you need the strength of the grace that is in Christ Jesus.Faithfulness is one of the requirements of a soldier. Are you faithful in your God assigned duty and calling? No soldier looks for only simple assignments, but takes on duties, as they come, whether in simple or tough territories. Paul, the Apostle, enjoined Timothy to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus and endure hardness as a good soldier of Christ. Are you a warrior for Christ? Are you still in the Lord’s end time army? Examine yourself.
A warrior is engaged in battle in season and out of season. A warrior for Christ will not be distracted with the affairs of this life, and will always be loyal and faithful to the One who has chosen him. Are you ready at all times to go out for your God? If you have truly enlisted in the Lord’s army, then you must be prepared to do battle for Him as often as duty calls.

1. Thank You, Lord, for calling me to be a Christian Soldier.
2. I will not fail at my duty post.
