Text: Job 8:5-10

Memory Verse: “Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase abundantly” (Job 8:7).

A man who retired at about sixty-five years without ever succeeding at anything in life became frustrated, confused, discouraged and wondered what to do. He did not have enough money and had practically nothing to venture into. One day as he sat on pavement thinking about his life, a thought went through his mind. “What are you good at?” He then remembered that he could fry very tasty chicken which was always desired by those around him. So he began to fry chicken. Thus, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) was born. Today, even after his death his franchise is all over the world because he refused to quit. His legacy has outlived him. He did not die unsung and recorded his name in the sands of time.

Isaac must have laboured hard as he tried to sow in famine. Whereas everyone was migrating, he held on to God’s counsel that he should not go to Egypt. His effort was blessed by God and he had a turnaround (Genesis 26:1-14).
What are you good at? What can you do? What skills do you have? Is there anything you have a flair for and are good at? Start with it where you are presently. Big things start with small things. The beautiful thing is that when
you start, God will put wings on you that will make you fly. Do not despise the days of small beginnings. There is nothing wrong with starting small.

Prayer Points:
1. Holy Spirit, please help me not to despise little beginnings.
2. Lord, open my eyes to small things that can turn big in my hands.
