Text: Luke 10: 17-20

Memory Verse: “Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject to us in Your name” (Luke 10: 17).

The winning of souls is a surpassing privilege that brings great joy each time. There is no greater happiness and rejoicing than to see someone you have spoken to, prayed for, and cared for converted to Christ. The
greatest achievement in this life and the most rewarding assignment one can be involved in is the faithful service of winning souls (Daniel 12:3). There are various dimensions of joy for the soul winner, God and the convert. The first motivation and source of joy in winning a soul is the desire to obey the Master in the Great Commission. The height of selfishness is for a man to know the way of Salvation, the Hope of eternal life, and the terrible destruction
awaiting sinners, and yet refuse to win souls for the kingdom (Proverbs 11:30).

How many times have you brought joy to heaven (Luke 15:7)? There is joy to be experienced in the Christian life, but the only one that outshines that of becoming a Christian is sowing the seed and reaping the harvest of a soul. Your joy as a soul winner is the assurance in God with the witness of the Holy Spirit, that you have faithfully obeyed the commandment of the Lord, and have laboured to see those on the path of destruction restored back to life (John 15:16). The Christian who wins souls has special blessings which others do not have. This and the joy it brings to heaven make it worth the effort.

Prayer Points:
1. Make me a faithful soul winner, O Lord.
2. Lord, cause every lost soul to respond to the message of salvation and be restored to You.
